Attention NHS members! The turn-in date for Marking Period 4 hours is currently Friday, June 1 for juniors and Friday, May 11 for seniors.  Juniors need to turn in nine hours, while seniors need to turn in only three.  Furthermore, our next meeting will be Thursday, May 10 in the little theater both at 7:10 and after sixth hour.  All sophomores and juniors in NHS are required to attend.  Seniors, your attendance would be appreciated.





Project 111 is having an end of the year party:


SENIORS!  Project 111 and Tri-City Motor Speedway are teaming up for Safe Driving Night at the track next Friday, May 11th!  EACH SENIOR IS RECEIVING A FREE TICKET FOR THEM AND ONE ADULT.  The grandstands open at 5:30.  Action begins at 6:45. Racing begins at 7:55. Two $100 gas cards will be given away!  Join us for a fun evening with Tri-City Motor Speedway!

Cheer Announcement


Attention anyone interested in joining Dow High Cheer– We will be starting workouts every Tuesday and Thursday after 6th hour in the loft. This is a great way to prepare for the upcoming tryouts for next season. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jessica Bunnelle or Sophie Dehn.




Coin Drive



Attention chargers! The results of the coin drive are in! The freshmen took first place, juniors took second place, and seniors and sophomores took third and fourth place. Thank you to everyone who donated, and a special thank you to a staff member who gave a generous donation.




Due to Dr. Francisco’s prior obligations and IB Testing there will be no FGL this week.


German Clubbers


Attention German Clubbers: Tomorrow is our next German Club gathering. We will be making the decision about next year’s president. If you are interested in the position, please make sure to prepare a short speech to introduce yourself and explain your candidacy. We will also be saying Auf Wiedersehen to our outgoing President Andrew Melichar. See you Tuesday in room 377 for German Club. Come at 3:00 or right after seventh hour.



Adams Elementary Seniors


Any senior who attended Adams Elementary – the walk through, with graduation cap and gown, is scheduled for Monday, May 21 at 11:00am. Don’t forget to wear your cap and gown!




Key Club


The seniors’ last day is next Friday! Starting tomorrow, Key Club will be selling Hershey’s kisses at both lunches to send to seniors on Thursday, May 17th. Send a bundle of kisses and a note for just $1 and show your appreciation for your favorite seniors before they graduate.


Tennis News


The tennis team won the 6 team Holly tournament this weekend, which included Northville, the number 2 team in the state.  Taking first for the Chargers were Sarah Ismail, Hadley Camp, Christina VanderKelen, Emily Telgenhoff, Amelie Kraef, and Reema Patel.




Chargers – Did you forget to order your 2018 yearbook? Well you are in luck! We are going to open up a last chance ordering window for those that want to make sure they have a 50th anniversary book. Order forms are available outside room 218 and payments must be made in school, as the online ordering is no longer available. This last chance sale will begin on Monday, May 7 and end on Friday May 11. Distribution day will be Thursday, May 17 at 2:25 in the cafeteria. Any remaining books will be sold for $65 while supplies last.
