ACT and the Michigan Competitive Scholarship

The Michigan Competitive Scholarship is available to any students who have a qualifying score on the ACT and demonstrate financial need.

Students who take the ACT can be automatically considered for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship if they do the following:

  • Take the ACT during their Junior and/or Senior year of high school.
  • Make sure they enter their social security numbers on the ACT registration forms. Students will not be considered for the scholarship if they leave this section blank.
  • In January of their senior year, make sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
